Corning Community Fund

Goal: $4,000.00

Profile

As residents of the Corning community, we all have one thing in common – we care about Corning and we appreciate the opportunity it provides each of us to work and raise our families in a small-town atmosphere.  In light of that and to ensure a prosperous community now and well into the future, we took the pro-active step of creating the Corning Community Fund in cooperation with the Nemaha County STEP Foundation in 2018.

Corning prides itself on our sense of community and rural Kansas values. Neighbors helping neighbors and good old family values keep Corning thriving. This Unrestricted Endowment Fund will keep Corning going for generations to come by supporting local needs and the continued development of the community as a whole.  We have also created a second fund, the Corning Impact Fund, that will be used to collect funds for more short term projects.  Last year's project was the addition of a toddler play area to the current city park.  This year we are working to update the restrooms at the park.

The current Corning Community committee members include Kim Durland, Diane Haverkamp, Sara Kramer, Travis Haverkamp, and Shana Steinlage. The Corning Community committee members believe that every penny counts to continue to build and establish the endowment fund to support the needs of our small town and the surrounding area. With your donation, we will be able to match dollar for dollar, up to $4,000. Every bit counts to support the Corning community and Nemaha County as a whole!
