That’s why we’ve launched our 'Grow Your Own' Scholarship Program—an investment in our current employees who want to further their education and advance their careers in healthcare. Whether they’re pursuing nursing, lab science, radiology, or another vital specialty, we want to support their journey every step of the way.

Profile

Rural communities across Kansas are facing a growing shortage of healthcare professionals. Recruiting and retaining qualified providers, nurses, therapists, laboratory professionals, radiology staff, and other essential healthcare workers has become increasingly challenging. 

The Nemaha Valley Health Care Foundation's Grow Your Own Scholarship Fund is helping address this challenge by investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals. The program provides financial assistance to local students pursuing healthcare careers in exchange for a commitment to return and serve at Nemaha Valley Community Hospital after graduation.

By supporting local students who already have roots in our communities, we are creating a sustainable pipeline of compassionate healthcare professionals who understand rural healthcare and are committed to caring for their neighbors.
