Spring Creek Golf Course Improvement Fund
Goal: $50,000.00
Profile

Spring Creek Golf Course has an exciting opportunity to make a lasting improvement, thanks to the generosity of a local Nemaha County couple.
Jim and Patricia Koch have announced a $50,000 Match Challenge through the Nemaha County STEP Foundation. If donors give $50,000 to the Spring Creek Golf Course Improvement Fund on Match Day, Friday, August 28, 2026, Jim and Patricia Koch will match it with $50,000.
If the community meets the challenge, $100,000 will be available to improve the golf course's cart paths and create a safer and more enjoyable experience for golfers and visitors for years to come.
"Spring Creek has been a special place for our family and for so many people in Nemaha County," said Jim and Patricia Koch. "We hope this challenge inspires others to give. When everyone pitches in, we can accomplish something that benefits the entire community."
"Spring Creek is more than a golf course," said Tony Altenhofen, General Manager. "It's where friends gather, families spend time together, tournaments bring visitors to our county, and memories are made. Jim and Patricia's generosity gives everyone the opportunity to be part of something lasting. We hope the community will rally behind this challenge and help us reach the full $100,000."
The Spring Creek Golf Course Improvement Fund is an expendable fund of the Nemaha County STEP Foundation. All gifts made to the fund on August 28 will go directly toward cart path improvements. If the community gives $50,000, the Koch family will match $50,000 to make it $100,000 total.
Donors can give in person at the Seneca Free Library on Friday, August 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., or online any time that day at stepupnemaha.com.
Whether it's a gift of $25, $100, $500, or more, every dollar brings the community one step closer to safer cart paths and a stronger future for the Spring Creek Golf Course.
