Nemaha County Community Health Services Fund

Goal: $2,500.00

Specific Need

For the past 4 years, NCCHS has hosted a Community Baby Shower. The Community Baby Shower is a free event for all expecting and new parents in Nemaha County. This event allows families to connect with local organizations and community resources. Families have the opportunity to learn about resources available to them in Nemaha County, as well as how to access them, all in one setting.

This year, we will host our 5th Annual Community Baby Shower in Seneca, tentatively scheduled for April 2027. This event has grown tremendously since its beginning. We expect to serve over 60 families from Nemaha County and send each one home with a gift bag filled with baby essentials and educational resources.

The success of these events has been made possible through the generosity of businesses, organizations, and other community supporters. This year's Match Day donations will help ensure every family receives essential baby supplies. Donations will also provide high-quality safety items, including car seats and Pack 'n Plays, as door prizes for participating families.

Any funds remaining after the event will support The Little Nest Family Resource Bank, providing diapers, formula, and other essential baby items to local families throughout the year.

If you or someone you know is expecting a baby or has recently welcomed a new addition, we'd love to have you join us at this year's Community Baby Shower! Contact our office for more information and watch social media for upcoming announcements!

Mission
